David and Grace have both had art works selected for the annual Rotary Art Spectacular 2013. This 10 day invitation only prestigious charity event is held at the Riverside Centre in Brisbane from 11 April 2013. This juried exhibition is in aid of the Cerebral Palsy League and their wonderful charity work. David’s original oil painting, “Bird in the Hand” has been selected for exhibition, as well as Grace’s Textile pieces, “Dare to do Square, 8+1=Square” and “Faux Chenille” were also accepted for exhibition. what a wonderful honour to be exhibiting in this premiere event on the Brisbane Art Calender.

Visual artist and oil painter David Cross is fascinated with light, how it travels across surfaces, how it can cast shadows revealing highlights, how it morphs when it reflects off a surface and carries colour and how it illuminates and features interesting new shapes. .
GRACE CROSS
Queensland textile artist Grace Cross is inspired by the layers of nature creating layered mixed media/textile artworks with a fusion of rusting, fibres, fabric, paper, acrylics, stitching, beading and/or embellishments.
